Confidentiality, Ownership, and Copyright of Documents
As a freelance editor/proofreader I am committed to providing you with a
secure, reliable, and confidential service.
I will not share personal information or website copy, document, or business
content with anyone other than my client, either directly or indirectly. This
includes
- Your name
- Your mailing address
- Your telephone number(s)
- Your e-mail address
which are needed for assignment purposes.
Submitted Content
PineTree Editing and Proofreading will not to be held responsible for the
author's use of plagiarized text or copyright material. I reserve the right
to decline requests to rewrite plagiarized material.
PineTree Editing and Proofreading will not be held responsible for the
information within the documents provided by the client, including
misleading information, offensive statements, or third party copyright.
PineTree Editing and Proofreading will make every attempt to give its
customers complete satisfaction, whether it is a proofreading project
or an editing project. However, I don't guarantee that edited documents
are PERFECT and ERROR FREE. Clients are responsible for reviewing their
edited or proofread documents and notify me of any outstanding issues
they find. All corrections will be made at no extra charge.
Accuracy of provided personal information
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information (name, address,
phone number, email address, and payment details) when submitting a
project. Clients will bear all responsibility for any problems, errors, or legal
issues as a result of submitting false information. All information is confidential
and won't be shared with anyone.
Content on this website may not be used in any manner, nor for any purpose
without my personal permission to do so. Please inquire.
Refusal of service
PineTree Editing and Proofreading reserves the right to refuse a project for
any reason and without an explanation.
Financial fraud or theft
PineTree Editing and Proofreading will not be held liable for any illegal misuse of
credit cards or other forms of payment for services rendered. PiineTree will not be
held responsible for any legal fees that result from fraud, theft, or any other
violation of terms by the client.
Technology--disclaimer
PineTree Editing and Proofreading will not be held liable for any unforeseen
circumstances resulting from technical problems (including server and connection
issues) beyond my control. I will make every effort to meet deadlines and will
communicate with clients should a problem that would affect this come about.
